We’re saying goodebye to the jars.

We’ve decided to discontinue using glass jars, but we’ll still accept them back for a $1 refund until October 31, 2024.

But, why are you getting rid of the jars?

Great question! While we love how the jars keep coffee fresh and are reusable, as we’ve grown and received more orders, managing two packaging options has become a challenge. The process of removing labels, cleaning, and preparing jars for reuse has slowed us down—especially with the increasing number of jars coming back.

We’re honestly sad to make this change. The jars have been part of our identity, but as a small team, we need to simplify things to keep delivering quality coffee at an affordable price. For now, we’re sticking with kraft paper bags equipped with a one-way degassing valve. They do the job well, but we’re actively exploring more eco-friendly options for the future.

But, why are you getting rid of the jars?

We just explained that the best we know how, maybe reading it a second time would help you understand a little better?

Ok I guess I understand, but I am a little annoyed.

That’s ok, we understand that too. There’s lots to be annoyed about in the world, would it make you feel any better if we are still trying to roast goode coffee for a goode price?

That does help some, but can I think about it a little bit before I fully decide to stop being annoyed?

Yes absolutely, take all the time you need. Just make sure to return your jars by October 31 in order to get your $1 per jar refund.

Goode Coffee curates and roasts delicious, specialty-grade, single-origin coffee.

There are so many coffees out there, which is a great problem to have. We search, taste, and select a handful of unique, tasty coffees that we think you’ll absolutely love. We roast each batch with love, in our hometown of Denton, TX.
